Playtech Acquires Casual Games Developer Funtactix
On the web gambling technology giant Playtech announced on Tuesday it has made another move towards bolstering its casual games offering by purchasing popular social and mobile video gaming studio Funtactix. Information on the deal have remained undisclosed.
Headquartered in ny, Funtactix also offers workplaces in la, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem, and it is understood for developing social and mobile games based for a wide range of popular films and franchises, with Mission: Impossible and The Hunger Games being only few of these.
Aside from creating in-house gaming titles, the company can be understood for working together with lots of activity leaders such as for instance Lions Gate Entertainment and Paramount. A year ago, Funtactix announced the launch of its publishing unit FTX Games, with all the latter being worried about posting major video gaming games and connecting third-party video gaming designers to holders of intellectual home.
